1. Scope

These terms govern the use of the MJD website and the purchase of the products presented on it. By placing an order you confirm that you have read and fully accept these terms.

2. Products

MJD sells extrait de parfum in limited and personalised editions. Each flacon is hand-finished; small variations in the shade, texture or weight of the label are part of the artisanal character of the product.

Photographs and descriptions are editorial. Colours may vary slightly depending on your screen calibration.

3. Orders & pricing

Prices are shown in EUR and include VAT where applicable. Shipping costs, if any, are shown separately before payment.

An order is considered confirmed once payment and the confirmation e-mail have been received. MJD reserves the right to refuse an order in case of suspected fraud, unavailability of raw materials or manifest pricing error.

4. Payment

Payments are securely processed by Stripe. MJD does not store full card data. Transactions are encrypted and subject to 3-D Secure checks whenever your bank requests them.

5. Personalisation

Personalised products (engraved name, dedication, engraved case) are made to order exclusively for you. Under EU Directive 2011/83, the right of withdrawal does not apply to goods manufactured to customer specifications or clearly personalised.

Please carefully review the spelling of the name and dedication before confirming your order.

6. Liability

MJD is liable for non-conformity of the products within the limits provided by law. We accept no liability for individual allergic reactions — we recommend a preliminary skin test on a small area.

7. Governing law

These terms are governed by Romanian law. Any dispute will be resolved amicably or, failing that, by the competent courts of the MJD registered office (Cluj-Napoca).

Data we collect

To process orders we collect: first and last name, shipping and billing address, e-mail address, phone number and, optionally, the personalisation wording (engraved name, dedication).

Payment details are entered directly in the secure Stripe interface and are not visible to MJD.

Purpose of processing

Data is used exclusively to: process and deliver your order, communicate about it, issue invoices and comply with accounting obligations, and — if you explicitly subscribe — send editorial communications.

Legal basis

Performance of the contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR) for orders, legal obligation (Art. 6.1.c GDPR) for invoicing, and consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR) for marketing communications.

Retention

Accounting and tax data are retained as required by law (generally 10 years). Marketing contact data is retained until consent is withdrawn.

Recipients

Data may be shared with: couriers (for delivery), Stripe (for payments), our transactional e-mail provider, and tax authorities where the law requires it. We do not sell your data to third parties.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection authority. Requests can be sent through the site's contact form.

What cookies are

Cookies are small files saved in your browser to allow the website to function and to measure its usage.

Cookies we use

Strictly necessary cookies for the session, cart and checkout — these cannot be disabled.

Anonymous traffic measurement cookies used to understand how the site is used. These cookies do not identify individuals.

Managing your preferences

You can delete or block cookies from your browser settings. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may affect the cart and checkout.

Preparation time

Orders from the house collection are prepared within 2–4 business days. Personalised orders (name, dedication, engraved case) are prepared within 5–10 business days from confirmation of the wording.

Shipping

We ship within Romania and the European Union via private courier. Transit times are indicative and depend on the destination and the courier.

Parcels are insured until receipt by the addressee. Please inspect the packaging before signing on delivery.

Returns — collection products

You have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of receipt, without giving any reason. The product must be returned in its original packaging, unused and with the seal intact.

Return shipping costs are borne by the customer. Refunds are issued within 14 days of receipt of the product, using the original payment method.

Returns — personalised products

Personalised products (engraved name on the label, dedication, engraved case) are exempt from the right of withdrawal under EU Directive 2011/83. Please review the personalisation before confirming.

Defective products

If a product has a manufacturing defect or arrives damaged, contact us within 48 hours of receipt with photographs. We will replace the product or refund the amount paid in full.
